Chinese Medicine treatments are more effective than in trials because Chinese Medicine depends on an individual diagnosis and treatment.

A case of muscle wasting in the arm could be caused by a combination of physical injury and emotional distress.

A woman with endometriosis may have a "syndrome" common in the trials or not. A flexible and individual treatment will achieve faster results.

When treating mental and emotional distress Wendy finds that often there are points of physical pressure which, when resolved, can reduce the severity of symptoms experienced.

A particular habit can be a major cause. Once addressed, symptoms can often rapidly abate.

While Wendy has achieved success in treating a vast array of different conditions, she has a profound interest in:

Fertility, Women's health and Chinese Medicine

  • Preparing for pregnancy
  • Preparing for childbirth
  • Recovering from childbirth
  • Overcoming infertility (both male and female)
  • IVF support
  • Managing Pre-Menstrual Tension
  • Reducing period pain
  • Managing excessivemenopausal symptoms
  • Correcting breach presentations

These are a small selection of the conditions which Wendy has successfully treated.

Establishing mental health and emotional well-being with Chinese Medicine

Regular acupuncture can offer much benefit to individuals who are experiencing mental and emotional distress. Chinese herbs can also be useful in helping manage symptoms and resolve causative factors.

  • In most cases two or three weeks of multiple treatments are important to relieve high levels of emotional distress.
  • Wendy has worked with individuals with diagnoses such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Anxiety, Depression and Bi-polar disorder.

Pain management and Chinese Medicine

In Chinese Medicine pain is said to be caused by a blockage of qi (or vital energy) and/or blood. The underlying cause of this blockage could be either injury or underlying weakness at various levels.

The combination of massage, knowledge from Martial Arts to correct joint movement and Acupuncture allows Wendy to help resolve painful conditions.

Chinese herbal formulas can also be prescribed to both increase qi and blood circulation and rectify the underlying weaknesses. Individual Chinese herbal wine decoctions (pictured), sipped daily, can be useful in alleviating chronic pain.

  • Wendy uses Korean Hand Acupuncture for pain. By inserting super-fine needles into various spots on the hand, pain and movement restrictions can be alleviated.
  • Different approaches often yield faster results and Osteopathy, Feldenkrais and Remedial Massage treatments are also available at the WellBeing centre.
